Farmers Market Brunch – July 4th & 11th, 2015

Traverse City is known as the Cherry Capital of the World. And even before the National Cherry Festival became an official national celebration in 1931, we’ve been celebrating this history. As a part of the new “Farm to Festival” initiative, Taste the Local Difference has been working in coordination with the National Cherry Festival to bring focus back to our area’s local agriculture.

Among this year’s efforts to source locally for the festival’s various food events and celebrations, Taste the Local Difference will be hosting two special events during one of our most favorite local gatherings in town, the Sara Hardy Farmers Market.

NCF FarmersMarketBrunchJoin us for a ‘Farmers Market Brunch’ on July 4th & 11th from 7 AM to Noon. The Sara Hardy Farmers Market will be in its Old Town Parking Deck location, and brunch will be served adjacent to the market.

Various brunch options will be prepared by Roaming Harvest & Blue Heron 2, featuring local products sourced directly from the market as well as the community butcher just steps away, Maxbauer Specialty Meat Market.

If you purchase your own fresh produce from our local farmers, you’ll receive a discount on brunch! AND, there is even a second incentive to make your way to the market…The first 100 customers will receive a $5 voucher to spend at the Farmers Market, thanks to the National Cherry Festival.

So come visit us to pick up your fresh produce, to support our local farmers, to eat a delicious Saturday brunch, and for a chance to receive ‘free’ dollars to spend! What could be better?
