Sponsor, Exhibit, or Advertise at the 2018 Michigan Good Food Summit

On behalf of the Center for Regional Food Systems at Michigan State University, I’m writing to invite you to sponsor, exhibit or advertise at the 2018 Michigan Good Food Summit on October 22, 2018. This year’s Summit will take place on October 22nd at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center at Michigan State University.

The Sponsor-Exhibitor Fact Sheet and Commitment Forms are attached.  You can learn more about the Summit, the agenda and the Michigan Good Food Charter at www.michiganfood.org.

The 2018 Michigan Good Food Summit will further the momentum of the 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 Summits.  We will convene more than 400 food system stakeholders from across the state to:

     • Celebrate the successes in moving toward a Michigan-based food system rooted in Good Food – food that is healthy, green, fair and affordable – as envisioned in the Michigan Good Food Charter;

     • Share tools and resources that local groups can use to enhance progress toward a robust, equitable and healthy food system in their own communities;

     • Network and learn from stories of success and opportunity taking place in Michigan to enable greater engagement in the good food movement; and

     • Identify resources and strategies to enhance equity in Michigan’s food system and ensure that all residents have access to good food.

We think the Good Food Summit would be an excellent opportunity for your organization to reach a diverse audience interested in the good food movement. We are also offering an opportunity for you to support greater participation in the Summit by being a scholarship sponsor! (See attached fact sheet.) Your commitment to the Michigan Good Food Summit helps us make this event possible and allows you to share your products or services with a large audience.  We hope you will join us and our other sponsors and exhibitors, such as the Great Lakes Co-op, the Food Bank Council of Michigan, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Food@MSU, among others.

Summit attendees represent a wide variety of disciplines from throughout Michigan, such as food system and community organizations, educators, health care providers, public health professionals, government officials, planners and farmers.   To ensure that you are listed in our program book and that you have the opportunity to submit an ad, please return your commitment form to us by Monday, October 1, 2018. (Ad specifications will be sent with confirmation materials after your commitment form is received.)

Once you have reviewed the attached information, please let me know if you have any questions.  Or, if you want to confirm your participation, just send the commitment form to our coordinator, Diane Drago, by fax (734-661-1919) or e-mail ([email protected]).
