Golden Fleece Farm is a 150 acre, pasture-based, sustainable farm in the Sharon Short Hills of Washtenaw County. We raise grass fed beef, lamb, meat chickens, Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, free range eggs, and hay. We do not raise mono-crops such as corn and soybeans, and do not poison our soils with herbicides and pesticides. The permaculture in our fence rows produce wild cherries, wild apples, wild black berries, chestnuts, and acorns which is a food supply for the wild turkeys that nest on the farm. We have a 10 Kw windmill, a 6 Kw solar array, and a geothermal heating system in our farm house, thus the farmstead has a very low carbon footprint.
