The 15-acre, certified organic Student Organic Farm is a fully self-sustaining farm that also houses the Organic Farmer Training Program, a 9 month certificate program in organic agriculture. Produce from the farm is available through an on-campus farm-stand (Thursdays 11am-5:30 pm, April-Oct) and a year-round CSA (community supported agriculture) program.

The MSU Organic Farmer Training Program is a mix of hands-on learning, field trips to 20+ farms and interactive online learning to make your farm dreams a reality! The learning community of farmers, schoolyard gardeners, farmworkers, homesteaders and food system changemakers meets up every Monday from March to November and you can choose to learn at either the MSU Student Organic Farm in East Lansing or at Keep Growing Detroit. Graduates leave with a Farm Business Plan that fits their goals, skills, soils and community needs.
