Come on down to the Northeast Michigan Alcona Regional Farm Conference! On January 18-19, this conference will bring together seasoned growers, as well as those starting a new career in agriculture and members of the local food movement of the region. Get your farm business growing for 2019!
This year brings a variety of guest speakers, a panel discussion, as well as success stories from the region. Doug Paulus, the Director of the new Northern Market in Grayling, David Klingenberger of the Brinery, and Brian Bates of Bear Creek Organic Farm and our own Tricia Phelps, CEO of Taste the Local Difference are just a few of the speakers attending this conference. See the schedule of speakers here.
This event is a project of Farm to Fork Alcona and Inspiration Alcona. Plus, we are working with this event to source local ingredients in the provided breakfast and lunch.
Additionally, conference attendees can join the Friday reception at a discounted rate with local chef Adam Beckta of Wandering Winds Farm. He will lead attendees through a program focused on “The First Course: Wine and Cheese Pairing – Michigan Style.”
Whether you’re joining for both days or just one, the Northeast Michigan Small Farms Conference is a great way to connect with others and prepare for the upcoming growing season!
