Grillin’ for Food Gatherers: A Picnic with a Purpose

You’re invited to the 29th annual Grillin’ for Food Gatherers, a family-friendly community picnic with a serious mission. Grillin’ benefits Food Gatherers’ work to alleviate hunger where we live. As a Grillin’ guest, you can help your neighbors struggling with food insecurity.

When: Sunday, June 10, 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., rain or shine.

Where: Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor Saline Road, Ann Arbor

Feast on gourmet grilled sausages, delectable side dishes and desserts from more than 30 favorite local food purveyors including Zingerman’s, Grange Kitchen & Bar, Frita Batidos, The Earle, The Brinery, and more. Treat yourself to a unique selection of regional microbrews like Short’s or Lagunitas or sip a glass of wine while you peruse the food-inspired silent auction!

Enjoy eclectic music including blues and rock beats by George Bedard and the Kingpins; the acoustic hip hop/indie folk sounds of Nadim Azzam; jazz, folk and contemporary tunes for ukulele by singer  Magdalen Fossom; plus Dan and the Harmony Grits. Ann arbor’s 107one will broadcast the event live with Grillin’s Master of Ceremonies, Martin Bandyke.

Bring your kids to activities hosted by the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, a free photo booth, lawn games, and face painting.

Ticket price includes buffet, dessert and entertainment.
Advance Tickets: $75 for adults, $10 for kids (ages 3-13).
> $25 of each adult ticket and $5 of each kid ticket are goods & services
At the gate: $85 for adults, $10 for kids (ages 3-13).
Kids under 3 are free!
